It is crucial to us at Novi that our food and drink not only be hand crafted and delicious, but created with thought and care. Great consideration is put into each of our suppliers, products and produce, and sustainability and respect for the environment are our top priorities.
Our Team
Our tight knit team at Novi work seamlessly together to provide a friendly, accommodating and fun drinks and dining experience. Our chefs and in house mixologists are wonderfully creative and have provided Novi with the unique and exciting menus that we are proud to serve today, whilst our floor team provide the very best service for an unforgettable experience.
Our Story
With experience owning a restaurant in Bristol, Matt moved to Cambridge in search of a new challenge and heard news of The Fountain’s lease coming up for sale. By August 2005, it was his and work was started to refurbish the venue and rebrand it as a late night music venue.
By 2013, with changing surroundings and demands, the concept for a more mature, refined, respectful and sophisticated venue had been dreamt up by Matt and his wife Faye. It was to focus on botanical cocktails and social dining and be called Novi. After a complete transformation, Novi opened during the summer of 2015 and quickly became a must-visit destination for cocktails and freshly made food.
Fast forward to 2023 and Novi has been re-born again, undergoing a brand refresh and refurbishment. The goal this time to redefine the spaces within the building more affectively. Creating a bustling bar downstairs, with separate dining area, a private room on the first floor, a roof terrace and top floor table service intimate cocktail bar.
Our values
At Novi, one of our core values and priorities is to run our business in as sustainable and environmentally friendly a manner as possible. Not only does this include our excellent recycling policies, zero to landfill guarantee and food waste schemes but also affects our choice in suppliers. We are particularly proud to source all of our meat from local, high welfare farms and partner with inspirational companies deeply committed to responsible business practices.
We are also working with Net Zero Now to reach zero emission status as soon as possible.
